To create the best mountain bikes for the varied conditions you'll experience while riding the Remutaka Cycle Trail, we take a modern rugged mountain bike with front suspension, hydraulic brakes, and a 24+ speed shimano drivetrain, then add gel seats and other bits to make them comfortable and adjustable for long days in the saddle. After years of research and testing, we've found these to be the best overall fit for the Remutaka Cycle Trail and our clients.
Our Electric Bikes (or eBikes), are a fantastic way to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time, keep up with faster friends, or just relax and enjoy the scenery a bit more. Choose either a step-thru or mountain bike style frame, equipped with rugged & robust mountain bike components & tyres, comfortable gel seats & grips, powerful and reliable motors, and the largest capacity batteries available on the market. Our bikes are specially selected and equipped to handle everything you'll experience along the Remutaka Cycle Trail.
All bike & eBike hires include helmets, lights, locks, repair kits, rear carrier racks, and pannier bags, and we can also supply high-vis gear and all sorts of other accessories. Just add these as an "extra" during the booking process, or get in touch if you don't see what you're looking for.
